Having said that, it’s rather thin (not considerably cushion), and I do not locate it all that relaxed. Nevertheless, it beats the tricky ground, and it does not take as well considerably space or weigh as well much (important factors when you backpack). I give it a mild plus.

Therm-a-rest pads are absolutely towards the top end of backpacking gear. Lightweight and compact, though warm and snug. They are perfect for multiple applications. My only qualm is the fact that my pad recently popped two pin holes. I normally sleep in a tent and have only had this pad for a few years, so it hasn’t received heavy use. The only cause I can assume of is always that the one I purchased was refurbished, though that is not supposed to impact performance. I might certainly recommend getting a patch kit for lengthy trips.

This air pad is difficult and supplies very little comfort or back support. It may perhaps be of less concern to mountaineers who primarily care about the weight of their backpack but I mostly do hiking from camps I get to by auto, so I is going to be returning this pad in favor of something softer. The bag is really light and effortless to carry (I like that it came with a bag!) and has a good repair package tucked in. Buy Cheap Therm-a-Rest NeoAir Air Mattress, Review I took this on a current backpacking trip and had probably the most snug encounter We have ever had on a backpacking mattress. I’ve a tough time sleeping from the woods, and I’m 6’4″ tall – the large version of this mattress was tall enough for me and it was extremely relaxed. This mattress is expensive, even so if you’re willing to pay the value for a decent nights sleep from the woods, this is a superb mattress. It also packs extremely small and is often tucked inside your pack as opposed to strapped on the outside like most other air mattresses. Paying extra for the stuff sack was excessive although.

I’ve used a good deal of backpacking mattresses over time and often have suffered a degree of back pain. This is the initial pad that doesn’t weigh in at close to 2kg that’s been a success! It takes somewhat bit of adjusting prior to it’ll conform to your body without touching the ground, but once you have located it it’s wonderful. I can highly recommend this buy if you need to travel light.
